Successful Events Provide Both Value And Perceived Value

by
As an event and conference planning professional for well over three decades, I am often asked why some seemingly similar events are far more successful than others. In my opinion, the two major reasons for this differentiation are both providing value, as well as offering the perception of value. Some mistakenly believe that if one offers value, there will automatically also be the perception of value, and it is exactly that kind of reasoning that dooms or nearly dooms many events.
